Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council seized noise making equipment from a flat in the Haldens area of Welwyn Garden City on Tuesday 16 July.
Environmental Protection: Guilty of 26 flytipping offences
At Redhill Magistrates’ Court, Mark Bryan, (trading as Edge Clearance Services) of Grenaby Avenue, Croydon CR0 2EG pleaded guilty to 26 offences relating to fly tipping. He was given three years conditional discharge and ordered to pay the Council’s clear up costs of £1500, as well as legal costs of £1170.
Environmental Protection: Council holds illegal waste transporter to account
A driver claiming to be a licensed waste carrier has been caught out by environmental action officers. Andrew Jarrett, of Low Grange Crescent, Belle Isle, was unable to provide the waste carrier’s licence he claimed he had that would allow him to profit from legally transporting scrap metal for disposal.
