A Birmingham business and its director were ordered to pay a total of £15,613 after pleading guilty to 15 offences each under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 and the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.
On 20th May 2014 three people were convicted of licencing offences at Chichester Magistrates Court. The trio had operated a premise called Whites Steakhouse situated by Bognor Regis Railway Station other than in accordance with the premises licence.
On Wednesday 23 July 2014 at Worthing Magistrates Court, Mr Jeremy Ireland of I & J Meats, Littlehampton pleaded guilty to seven offences under the Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006, and was fined £2,100.00 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £1,525.81 and victim surcharge of £30, giving a total of £3,665.81.
A London-based landlord has been fined for renting out a flat without a selective licence.
Mr Les Middleton, the operator of Cottage Bakery, Penarth, was found guilty of four offences under food hygiene regulations at a hearing at Cardiff Magistrates Court.
