The owner of a chain of six shops in London has been fined £10,450 for the appalling housing conditions of his tenants above his shop, the Sunrise convenience store in Shaftesbury Avenue.

A man from Northampton who dumped his rubbish off a main road in Rugby has been ordered to pay £660. In a prosecution brought by Rugby Borough Council, the court was told that Mr Catalin Gheorghiu of 5 Great Gull Crescent, Northampton, was seen throwing rubbish into a bush near the Elliott’s Field retail park on Leicester Road.

A SWANSEA pizza restaurant has been served with a heavy fine for a string of food hygiene offences. Abbas Salami, owner of The Flying Pizza on Woodfield Road in Morriston, recently appeared in Swansea Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to nine food hygiene offences.
