Welcome to This Week at theEHP, a summary of the articles that appeared on the site over the previous week.
This week at theEHP we report on a new poll service on theEHP, Newham Council’s plans to become a private landlord and lots of environmental health prosecutions.

Food Safety: Butcher fined £4,000 for food hygiene breaches
Despite repeated council visits and numerous warnings from food safety officers a local butcher has been fined over £4,000, including costs, for a string of food hygiene offences.
Food Safety: Cash & carry fined £26,000 after dead mice discovery
A Smethwick food cash and carry firm where dead mice were found rotting in mousetraps has landed a court bill of over £26,000.
Sandwell Council environmental health officers, who brought the case to court, made the grim discovery at Golden Foods Cash & Carry.
