A report from the House of Commons Environmental Audit Select Committee has found that there is ‘no meaningful evidence’ to suggest that the Government is making progress towards resolving dangerous levels of air pollution in the UK. In the meantime more evidence has come to light about how air pollution shortens our lives and causes severe illness. Links to the full reports and supporting information are available in the article.

Last week we reported on a prosecution by Stoke-on-Trent City Council regarding a homeowner who was banned from living in his own house after carrying out a range of potentially dangerous and illegal DIY alterations. In response to a number of requests for more information, Stoke-on-Trent City Council have provided more details on the prosecution and additional photos of the property. You will find the updates at the end of the article.

Norwich Magistrates Court handed down a heavy fine to the man responsible for putting tenants at risk. Mr Abdul Bashir pleaded guilty to four charges relating to breaches to The Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation (England) Regulations 2006.
