The Public Health Agency (PHA) and Environmental Health Officers from Belfast City Council are investigate an outbreak of Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157. This outbreak is linked to a restaurant and there are currently 98 confirmed cases and 175 probable cases. Read the full details here.

Food Safety: Salmonella found in liquid egg product
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has seen seven cases of Salmonella Enteritidis PT1 following consumption of a pasteurised liquid egg product which was sold through Myprotein and Nutri Centre websites and Nutri Centre stores.

Manchester City Council has successfully prosecuted a shisha cafe bar in Rusholme after customers were found smoking shisha on the premises.
