1. RPT Decision: Improvement Notice Appeal (LON/00BK/HIN/2011/0029)

This case involves an Appeal against an Improvement Notice made by Westminster City Council. The Improvement Notice included a Category 1 hazard of ‘Excess Heat’. The London Panel confirmed the Improvement Notice and the appeal dismissed.

2. RPT Decision: Prohibition Order Appeal (LON/00BG/HPO/2012/0005)

This case involves an Appeal against a Prohibition Order served by London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The Prohibition Order related to Category 1 hazards such as Excess Cold, Damp and Mould and Electrical hazards. The London Panel quashed the Prohibition Order.

3. RPT Decision: Prohibition Order Appeal (MAN/32UC/HPO/2011/0006)

This case involves an Appeal against a Prohibition Order served by East Lindsey District Council.
The Northern panel allowed the appeal in part by ordering that the Prohibition Order be suspended for a period.

4. RPT Decision: Improvement Notice Appeal (CHI/21UD/HIN/2011/0017)

This case is regarding an Appeal against an Improvement Notice made by Hastings Borough Council. The Hazard in the Improvement Notice was a Category 1 and relates to ‘falls between levels’.

The Southern Panel determined the case on papers alone and the Tribunal confirmed the Improvement Notice.

5. RPT Decision: Improvement Notice Appeal (CAM/22UF/HIN/2011/0006)

This decision relates to an Appeal against an Improvement Notice served by Chelmsford Borough Council involving a Category 1 hazard of Excess Cold. The Eastern Panel agreed with the service of the Improvement Notice but extended the compliance date.

6. RPT Decision: Improvement Notice Appeal (LON/00AD/HIN/2012/0004)

This case involves an Appeal against an Improvement Notice served by London Borough of Bexley, relating to a Category One hazard of ‘Excess Cold’.

The London Panel dismissed the Appeal.

7. RPT Decision: Improvement Notice Appeal (CAM/22UF/HIN/2011/0008)

This case involves an Appeal against an Improvement Notice made by Chelmsford Borough Council involving one Category 1 hazard relating to ‘excess cold’.

The Eastern Panel upheld the Improvement Notice and an extension of time was given for compliance.

8. RPT Decision: Improvement Notice Appeal (CAM/33UG/HIN/2012/0003)

This case relates to an Appeal against an Improvement Notice served by Great Yarmouth Borough Council. The Improvement Notice involves Category 1 & 2 hazards such as Excess Cold, food safety and falling elements.

The Eastern Panel awarded costs for the Appellant to pay to the Local Authority due to non compliance with Tribunal Directions and failing to communicate both with the Tribunal and the Local Authority since the appeal was filed.

9. RPT Decision: Prohibition Order Appeal (LON/00AN/HPO/2011/0006)

This case involves an Appeal against a Prohibition Order made by London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. The London panel quashed all 4 Prohibition orders.

10. RPT Decision: Improvement Notice Appeal (CAM/00KG/HIN/2012/0018)

This case involves an Appeal against an Improvement Notice served by Thurrock Council, relating to a Category One hazard of ‘Excess Cold’ & Category Two hazards for entry by  intruders, personal hygiene sanitation and drainage and domestic hygiene.
