On Friday 26 July 2013 the Neighbourhood Nuisance Team was granted an Anti Social Behaviour Closure Order against Ms Jamie Lee Rowbottom, the tenant of 22 Bathurst Street due to the high levels of anti social behaviour.

This means the tenant cannot return to the property over the next three months and no-one can occupy the property during this time. During this period, formal possession proceedings will be taken by Hull City Council to prevent her returning to the property.

The Closure Order was sought by the Neighbourhood Nuisance Team after numerous complaints were received in relation to drug activity, noise nuisance, littering, criminal damage and intimidation of local residents.

The Neighbourhood Nuisance Team conducted an investigation into the complaints and were able to gather sufficient evidence from other residents, Council staff and the Police to justify an application to the Court for a Closure Order on the property, to provide immediate relief to the area.

Councillor John Hewitt, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Communities said:

“Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and legal action will be taken to ensure the local community are not subject to this type of harassment or distress.”
