Ms. Adams of 46 Padstow Close frequently allowed her two lurcher dogs and a jack russell dog to roam around the streets of Bransholme, attacking and showing signs of threatening behaviour to other dogs and to members of the public.

The dog wardens had previously picked the dogs up as straying dogs on a number of occasions.

Ms. Adams was sentenced at Hull Magistrates Court on 18 October, for four offences of her dogs being dangerously out of control in a public place.

She was given a Community Order for 12 months with a supervision requirement, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

A Contingent Destruction Order was also made which means that she must keep her dogs under proper control by supervising them and keeping them on leads at all times when in public places, and prevent them from escaping from 46 Padstow Close. If the dogs are found to be dangerously out of control in a public place, officers from public protection have power under the order to seize them and, if appropriate, destroy them without requiring any further order from the Court.
