Residents are being reminded to keep their property in an acceptable condition, following the latest prosecution by Hull City Council.

Graeme Rowland of Reynoldson Street, Hull, aged 42, failed to attend Hull Magistrates Court on 22 November and was found guilty of failing to comply with a Section 215 notice, which required him to cut back his garden and remove any waste.
Mr Rowland was fined £200, with a £20 victim surcharge and costs of £429, leaving him with a total bill of £649.
Councillor John Hewitt, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Communities, said:
“It is disappointing that we have again had to prosecute this couple of failing to keep their property tidy. I hope that this prosecution serves as a warning to other residents who do not look after their properties to clean it up or face similar action.”
