An East Tilbury woman has been fined and had good seized from her home after she breached a noise abatement order three times.

On Friday (22 November) magistrates at Basildon considered the case of Lolita Mbaki, 27, of Queen Elizabeth Avenue, East Tilbury. She did not attend court.
Magistrates heard a noise abatement notice had been served at the address by Thurrock Council public protection officers, in May this year, following complaints from neighbours about loud amplified music.
Council officers later were present on Friday, 26 July, Saturday, 27 July, and Wednesday, 21 August, when they witnessed the notice being breached.
Magistrates had earlier allowed officers a warrant to enter the premises – by force if necessary – to seize and remove all items that were believed to have been used to create the nuisance.
Many items including televisions, electronic games machines, CD players and speakers were seized.
During Friday’s hearing, magistrates agreed all seized items would be forfeit and Mbaki was also fined in her absence.
Magistrates imposed a fine of £400 for each offence – totalling – £1,200, together with a victim surcharge of £20. Full costs were also awarded to the council of £1,006.
