A pair of unscrupulous landlords have been fined and ordered to pay costs of almost £9000 after Camden Council successfully prosecuted them for failing to license overcrowded student digs (20 June 2012).

Housing: Camden helps students win £39,000 record rent repayment
Six students have been awarded a record rent repayment of £39,000 by the Residential Property Tribunal Service following a prosecution of their landlord by Camden Council.

Restaurant owner Mr Mohammed Nazim Uddin of New Jeera Restaurant Limited was fined £3000 today at Darlington Magistrates Court for failing to comply with an Emergency Prohibition Notice.
