A Risca food business operator has been taken to court and fined following a council investigation that revealed the business failed to provide a hot water supply to its sink at the food premises.

A takeaway customer got more than they bargained for when they ordered a curry from the Radhuni Restaurant in Flackwell Heath and found a cockroach in the food. The concerned customer contacted the Council’s Environmental Health Department who investigated the local eaterie.

On the 28th March 2013 at Merthyr Magistrates Court, Ria Jones, of 7 Lupin Close, Gurnos Estate, Merthyr Tydfil pleaded guilty to breaching a Noise Abatement Notice served by Merthyr Tydfil CBC Environmental Health Service. During the investigation Ms Jones had various electronic equipment seized by the Council.

A Hendy man and Swansea company have been convicted in court for two waste offences. Peter Karl Davies and Purnell Construction Ltd pleaded guilty at Carmarthen Magistartes Court for carrying waste without a waste carriers licence and for failing to complete waste transfer notes.
