An Oxford man has been ordered to pay nearly £1,500 by Oxford Magistrates Court after illegally fly-tipping black bags containing sheep heads amongst food waste in a Wootton lay by.

On Friday 5 April at Redhill Magistrates’ Court, Ovidiu Vlad, formerly of Swingate Lane, London SE18 2DB was found guilty of flytipping and fined £1000, as well as £250 for failing to respond to a S71 Notice, ordered to pay the Council’s costs of £1400 and £120 to the victim support fund.

A man has been prosecuted by the council for illegally carrying scrap metal.

Jamie Lee Smith, aged 24, of Amphion Court, Pembroke Dock, pleaded guilty to an offence contrary to Section 34(6) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 at Carmarthen Magistrates Court.
