On 20th May 2014 three people were convicted of licencing offences at Chichester Magistrates Court. The trio had operated a premise called Whites Steakhouse situated by Bognor Regis Railway Station other than in accordance with the premises licence.

On Wednesday 23 July 2014 at Worthing Magistrates Court, Mr Jeremy Ireland of I & J Meats, Littlehampton pleaded guilty to seven offences under the Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006, and was fined £2,100.00 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £1,525.81 and victim surcharge of £30, giving a total of £3,665.81.

The FSA have published the first set of quarterly results from a new survey of Campylobacter on fresh shop-bought chickens. The results show 59% of birds tested positive for the presence of Campylobacter. In 4% of samples Campylobacter was identified on the outside of the packaging.
