With the new university year fast approaching, we have a student focused article. SpareRoom.co.uk have compiled a list of the university towns and cities in the UK with the most affordable private-sector room rents. Northern Ireland’s, Queens University in Belfast tops the list with weekly rents of just £67, followed by St Andrew’s university in Scotland where the average rent is just £77 a week.
Not surprisingly, London is the most expensive city for students to live in, with private sector accommodation costing £151 per week, or £654 per month. Outside of London, Surrey University, at £109 per week, and Royal Holloway in Egham at £120 per week are the most expensive for nearby private sector rented accommodation. Read to full article here.
