The owner of a Coventry Polish Deli has been ordered to pay more than £4,000 for an infestation of mice at his shop.
Food Safety: Cafe owner fined for poor hygiene standards (Updated 19/07/2012)
The owner of a Middlesbrough cafe has been fined £3,500 after breaching food hygiene rules. Environmental Health Officers from Middlesbrough Council’s Community Protection Service visited Manolia Shawerma, a cafe on Gresham Road, Middlesbrough in August, 2011 to carry out a routine food hygiene inspection. Housing: Landlord fined for illegal ‘bed in shed’
Hillingdon’s clampdown down on illegal back garden homes and rogue landlords has scored a court victory. Jam al Uddin of 36 Gloucester Road, London, has been ordered to pay £15,377 for using an outbuilding as accommodation following a Hillingdon Council investigation.
Housing: Home ownership is a pipe dream for many people
Home ownership is all but a pipe dream for many people, with 42% of UK renters confessing they cannot afford to save for a deposit, according to new research carried out by flat and house share website SpareRoom.co.uk.
Housing: Landlord fined for operating HIMO without a licence
A local landlord has been prosecuted by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council for operating a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) without a licence.
